Collagen Chocolate Bars for when you/your children want something (really) sweet, as a snack, or whatever!
The recipe yields 7 portions.
The macros per portion are:
276 kcals // 20g Fetti // 18g Carbs // 13g Protein // 8g Collagen
• 190 g Dark Chocolate
• 1,5 dl casheu nut butter*
• 5-6 scoops Jotunheim Nutrition Collagen Peptides powder (will soon be available in the US)
1. In a small/medium saucepan, add your chocolate and allow it to melt. When melted, turn the heat to even lower or turn it off completely and add the casheu nut butter and whisk well until the two are well combined.
2. Take away from heat and add the collagen scoops.
3. Pour out in 7 equal bar shapes (or whatever else you want to use).
4. Sprinkle some Celtic Sea salt flakes on top and freeze for about 30 minutes until set. Then ready to serve!
*I chose cashew nut butter because it is higher in monounsaturated fat and contains substantially less PUFAs than peanut butter (almost double less!). Always look for no added salt, no added oils or other ingredients (honey and cinnamon are common additives in the supermarket - they're a no no also).
If you often make desserts with nut butter as additions, I recommend to switch from peanut butter to cashew nut butter. If not, it's OK as long as you balance those Omegas and you don't over consume. Balance and less obsession before everything! 🔥
